This caught me on the back of the head while trying to move under this tree. Just another example of nature reminding you who's the boss.
Many trees and bushes have sprouted up right on top of gravesites, displacing gravestones.
All the mausoleums had cinder blocks over their entries. Much newer than the structures. Presumably because they were getting broken into.
Not sure what the legal basis they have for confiscating your vehicle, but they also threaten to haunt you so take that into consideration.
This head stone is almost completely buried by the eroding land on this hill.
Some headstones were also tipped over by vandals or seemed to have fallen over because of the shifting ground..
Animals had burrowed under some of the headstones and monuments making them more likely to tip over as well.
In the front area of the cemetery where newer graves were the volunteers seemed to be making some effort to maintain the grounds, but farther back in the cemetery where the older graves were has been completely abandoned and has become almost entirely overgrown.
A family's headstones in a serendipitous posthumous embrace.
Some of the gravesites had what appeared to be little gardens over them where you could grow flowers. Or in this case, a tree.
Another headstone almost completely swallowed by the land.
